Brand-Driven Materials, Visuals, and Spaces.

ブランドから派生する素材、ビジュアル、空間。

SUBU, a brand born in Japan in 2016 with the concept of "winter sandals unknown to anyone.”

Alongside its own collections, SUBU collaborates with domestic and international brands sharing its identity.
Thus, it holds a distinct position within fashion culture.

In its 10th year, the brand opened its first pop-up store of this scale in Japan at UNKNOWN HARAJUKU.

“HAREMOKEMO” defines the 2024 A/W theme. Space, exhibition, and content are constructed accordingly.

The traditional Japanese exterior of UNKNOWN is reconstructed with Hong Kong-style bamboo scaffolding by bamboo craft artist CHIKAKEN. A permanent immersive theater is installed in the alcove (tokonoma), offering full immersion into the world of “HAREMOKEMO.”

The pop-up fully embodies the world of SUBU, featuring a collage-style history exhibit created by director Toshihiko Fukukawa and a shop offering over 70 product types.
